Fargo (Season 5) (2014)
4.6/5

As always with Fargo, a great delivery on memorable characters and dialogue. Also, Juno Temple is amazing.

The Night Of (2016)
5/5

The Night Of follows the story of Nazir Khan, a young man who, after a fateful encounter with a mysterious girl while on his way to a party, wakes up in her apartment to find her dead—without any memory of the events that led up to it. As Nazir is sent to jail awaiting trial, we are immersed in a grim, unflinching portrayal of the incarceration and judicial systems. The focus here is less on unraveling the mystery of the crime and more on the journey itself, crafting an atmosphere that few crime dramas can match.

Aside from the perfect acting of Riz Ahmed as Nazir, we get a couple of real well developed characters like attorney John Stone and police officer Detective Box. The quality of character development in just 8 episodes is to be praised.

Can highly recomend this one. Makes you think a lot.

Smilling Friends (2020)
4.3/5

Funny, random and with a lot of personal charm.

Mare of Easttown (2019)
5/5

First of all: Kate Winslet acting was just perfect.

A must watch if you like mystery and crime dramas. One of the best out there. I love how the series depicts its female characters with a lot of depth and real problems like the difficulty of being a mother and the grief of losing a son or a daughter. The story was very solid, and the plots twist held themselves until the very end.

Wisting (2019)
4/5

The series mainly follows William Wisting, a classic nordic silent-type police investigator, and Line, his daughter, who is a journalist, who is often covering or involved in the crimes William investigates. I liked this dynamic of both of them uncovering secrets from the cases and at the same time having conflicting points of view of both their personal and professional lifes.

With two seasons divided by two stories per season, Wisting had a lot going on. At first, I hard a hard time liking most of the characters, but, eventually, I grow found of all of them. First season part one had the best overall story and ambiance, but the second season gives more depth to secondary characters, contributing to the series imersion.
